GENERAL WOODWORK NIGHTS
Our woodworking nights consist of a short formal meeting where general business is attended to. The meeting also gives members a chance to display works they have recently completed, or interesting items they may have purchased or aquired. Following the formalities, we would normally have a guest speaker or presenter on a myriad of subjects, and not always strictly wood focused. A number of visits are undertaken throughout the year to experience subjects which cannot be covered at the clubrooms.
CARVING GROUP NIGHTS
Again a short meeting is held, after which members continue working on a carving, or start on a new one. Guidence is given by experienced members to enhance the abilities, or overcome problems others may be having with a particular project.
WHITTLING GROUP
The whittling group meets during the day for approximately two hours once a month. Very limited tools/equipment are used - a whittling knife being the basic requirement. The group is usually half a dozen people sitting around the table, sharing yarns while whittling on a bit of wood. Again guidence is given by experienced members to enhance the abilities, or overcome problems others may be having with a particular project.
LIBRARY
The club has a extensive library of books, magazines, videos, and DVD's relating to woodcraft, which are available for members to borrow free of charge.

The Geelong Woodcrafters Guild consists of members from all types of backgrounds including Accountants, Toolmakers, Engineers, Sales persons, Laborers, and many others, who enjoy the friendship of like minded people.
If you are interested in any type of woodwork or related subjects, come and join us.
Whether you are a beginner, intermediate, experienced, male or female woodworker, you will be made to feel right at home.
The group endeavors to impart knowledge to the less experienced, and share in the knowledge of the more advanced, in a friendly and supportive atmosphere.
Our general woodworking group meets on the 2nd and 4th Monday of the month at 7:30pm.
Our Carving group meets on the first Wednesday of the month at 7:30pm.
Our whittling group meets on the third Saturday of the month at 10:00 am at various park locations around the Geelong region.
All groups do not meet during December and January.
Cost of membership is currently $40 per year for indivual or family.
